Mark Li
Partner & CEO, Shanghai
· Mark Li is a seasoned investment banker with over 15 years of experience specializing in cross-border M&A transactions. Throughout his career across Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe, he has led and executed more than USD 20 billion worth of acquisitions and divestitures for multinational corporations across diverse industries, demonstrating deep market insight and exceptional execution capabilities.
· Prior to founding Airboat Capital, Mr. Li served as Head of China M&A and Chairman of the Business Election Committee at J.P. Morgan, and earlier as Head of Cross-Border M&A at Bank of China International.
· Mr. Li is widely recognized for his strategic advisory and transaction execution expertise across sectors such as consumer goods, industrials, financial services, and advanced manufacturing, consistently delivering value for clients navigating complex cross-border environments.
Yan Huang
Partner & President, Hong Kong
· Yan Huang is a seasoned investment banker with over 15 years of experience, specializing in China-related cross-border M&A across industrials, natural resources, real estate, renewable energy, and financial services. She brings deep expertise in transaction structuring, financial valuation, negotiation strategy, and end-to-end execution—consistently delivering successful outcomes in complex, multi-jurisdictional deals.
· Ms. Huang has held senior roles at ING Bank, Macquarie Capital, and Standard Chartered Bank, where she built a strong track record in advising on cross-border deals. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Duke University, combining rigorous academic training with extensive hands-on experience to deliver high-impact, execution-oriented advisory solutions tailored to clients navigating cross-border opportunities.
Jesse Huang
Partner, London
· Jesse Huang brings over 15 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, and post-investment management, with a strong focus on cross-border M&A in the natural resources and base materials sectors. He has an extensive track record of structuring and executing complex transactions, combining deep expertise in valuation, deal execution, and post-merger integration to deliver strategic and financial value for clients.
· Prior to joining Airboat Capital, Mr. Huang served as a Director in the Financial Advisory division at Lazard and in the Metals & Mining Group at Standard Chartered Bank. He also held key M&A and sector-focused roles at BNP Paribas and Standard Bank. Additionally, he was Vice President of Corporate Development and Investment Director at an international gold mining company, where he spearheaded M&A initiatives and oversaw post-acquisition integration and portfolio management. Mr. Huang holds an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Sissi Guo
Senior Associates, Shanghai
· Sissi has over 10 years of experience in investment banking, financial due diligence, and valuation, with a focus on supporting cross-border transactions. She previously worked at a cross-border boutique investment bank and PwC, delivering rigorous financial analysis and transaction support in complex deal environments.
· She holds an MSc in Accounting and Financial Management from King’s College London.

· Maxine has five years of investment banking experience, having previously worked at a boutique advisory firm and Deloitte’s Corporate Strategy & Investment practice in Australia.

Michael Xie

· Michael brings experience in M&A, especially in the Metals & Mining sector. He previously worked at Natixis CIB in Hong Kong, as well as at Grant Samuel in Australia.
· He holds a Double Degree in Banking and Finance from Monash University.
